Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
I was a gruelling 12 hour days sanding floors and tear down wallpaper the baby on my back and the others crawling in the playpen. Ha! The whole thing started to make sense, but wasn't quite finished. To complete this task I was ready to shell out a substantial amount of money and time shopping for my dream home. To stay on budget I started going to estate sales along with my three boys searching for gems hidden in the dirt. Every week, we would stroll through estate and garage sales on Saturdays and Thursdays, purchasing a mix of new and old pieces. Then I would spend the rest of my time painting and sanding on our front lawn. My passion for furniture restoration began when I saw a style similar to this. Even though our home was fully equipped, I couldn't quit. I also had a booth at the market, where I would sell objects. In the end, I accumulated more items that I had no idea how to use them and had outgrown the space. My house was transformed into a space in which I held open houses. Up 1000 people would be able to view the items on my first floor and purchase the items. Growing Days was created in this house. My business was not only expanding, but so was our family of four. It was essential to find the right balance for me. I wanted to balance being a mother and also a successful business owner. Growing Days seemed like the best fit. Nora, my 4th kid was born in 2013. This was an excellent direction for my business however I was also in need of an escape. I took a pause from making vintage furniture, and I slowed down my speed and stayed at home to help my children. It was exactly the thing I needed. However, after just a couple of minutes the phone started ringing. I began receiving requests from people requesting for help in home improvement as well as interior design. The majority of people who contacted me were people who had visited my home at one of the furniture open house events. As I went along, I added clients to my list one by one. But it wasn't long before I had many clients and operated an extremely successful business of home renovation. Most likely, I would have been laughing if somebody had informed me that my venture was going to be part of a forthcoming TV show that airs on the DIY Network. As I reflect back, it still makes me smile.
