April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th of July. She began guitar and piano lessons at seven years old. Her interest in creating songs was sparked. The first song she wrote was called Different which she composed at 12 years of age. In her 14th year, April devoted much of her time creating and playing with songs. Then, in the following months, April began to travel with her dad as well as write her songs at home in NY or LA. April was the month that she began to write about other issues in the book, Take My Hand, for her friends who were dealing in the face of peer pressure, disability or even suicidal thoughts. Lockhart also has an ever-growing fan base as a lifestyle blogger and is employed by the renowned brand of clean and natural beauty Ilia. The truth is that she was born without a left hand and that is what makes her different. But this isn't the only characteristic of her.
