Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. First gymnast in history to earn a 10. competing in the Olympics. Bela Karrolyi who was the Romanian gymnastics coach who became Comaneci's coach later on found her around the age of six. Her first competitive event was The National Junior Championships in where she placed 13th in 1969. In 1970, Comaneci was crowned champion. In her 1972 first international meet in an preolympics junior event that was open to countries of the communist bloc, she took home three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1975, she was awarded the All-around Junior Champion. In her debut as a Senior in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. She was the five-time European champ winning four gold medals and one silver. The first female to complete a reverse double salo on the uneven parallel bar in the event she won American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was in her teens she was performing on traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 Chicago Illinois US. Carol ventured into the entertainment business during her teenage years. Early on, Carol began as a figure skater on the show Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. They featured dramatic skating on ice shows.
